Our Chamber Staff
Our members drive our Chamber of Commerce, an elected Board of Directors determines policies and sets goals, and our staff handles our chamber's day-to-day operations. The Chamber Staff's main function is to organize educational programs, networking opportunities and social events that offer members a chance to network and share information and ideas. The office staff is made up of an Executive Director, Director of Events & Tourism and Administrative Assistant.
The Executive Director of the Wamego Chamber of Commerce is a key representative and advocate for business owners and employers in the Wamego community. Manages Chamber business within the framework of an established budget developed and approved by the Board of Directors. Provides strategic analysis of Chamber operations and events, continually evaluating for profitability and cost.
Director of Events & Tourism
The Director of Events & Tourism works directly with companies, businesses, community organizations and individuals to plan and execute memorable events and promote tourism. Creatively develop new strategies and promotional ideas to grow tourism and events throughout the year. Works closely with CVB Board members to advocate on behalf of growing a thriving community.
The Chamber Executive Assistant acts as primary point of contact with visitors to the Chamber office. Maintaining the daily and necessary operations within the office. Help manage the regular functions, communications and responsibilities within an office location. Provide general administrative and clerical support to both the Chamber Director and Director pf Tourism and Events.
