Jason Toll, Executive Director

As Chamber Director I am focused first and foremost on helping the existing area businesses thrive while also improving the overall business climate in order to attract new organizations and the jobs they create. Previously Jason worked in central & western Kansas for over 13yrs as an owner or partner in a number of different businesses ranging from technology consulting and Internet service provider to a franchisee of Wendy’s & Quiznos restaurants. Jason also served the State for 10yrs as a Chaplain and most recently as director of the vocational training program at the Larned State Hospital. In addition to his business experience, Jason has also been an active member on a number of local and regional boards including: President of the Larned State Hospital Endowment, Secretary of the Ethics Board, Larned Civic Pride, KSU Pawnee County Extension, Larned Tourism, Pawnee County Economic Development & the Larned Chamber of Commerce. Jason holds degrees in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership. As well as a Master degree in Business Administration. Though a first generation American from Romania raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Jason has spent the last 30yrs in Kansas and loves the atmosphere and sense of community that only a small town can provide.

Kara Holle, Event & Tourism Coordinator  |

Kara has been with the Chamber since March 2014 and in her role as Event & Tourism Coordinator since January 2018. She oversees programming and event planning and operations as well as provides administrative duties for the Wamego Convention and Visitors Bureau. Kara shares that her favorite part of working at the Chamber is the opportunity to play a larger, more impactful role in community events and that she loves helping members connect to other people and resources. As a member of the Wamego community for over 31 years, Kara enjoys volunteering for many organizations and has served on the Columbian Theatre Board of Directors and was recently appointed a position on the Board of Directors for Community Care Ministries.

Shanel Cole, Administrative Assistant  |

Shanel has been with the Chamber since September, 2019.  In her role as Administrative Assistant she is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Chamber’s programming, membership and events.  Shanel has lived in Wamego 43 years and her parents owned a business in Wamego for 40 years.  Shanel enjoys being connected with her community through her Chamber position.
